Largely inspired by the design and impact of the historic Chicano independent publications from the southwestern United State in the 1960s and 1970s, we seeks to empower students, faculty, and community members to develop their own creative voices through independent publishing.
Current Press is responsible for printing the Chicano independent research publication En El Frente, hosting the annual risograph symposium Riso-Rama, and organizing a Risograph focused study abroad program in Mexico City.
